Loanhead - Indoor Working Hunter

Some photos from yesterday's Working Hunter competition at Loanhead.

I photographed Class 3 (90cm) and Class 4/Open (100cm).

The low light levels in the indoor school made for very challenging flashless photography, but also gave some quite unusual lighting effects. The double across the middle of the arena was particularly nice in some shots due to it being directly below a roof light and a couple of skylights as well as being lined up with the main door which helped to light up the faces.

Nevertheless there is a certain amount of motion blur in some of the shots which it was difficult to avoid. I'd like to be able to say that it enhances some of the pictures, but you'll have to decide that.
